We are in trouble....BIG trouble: our beautiful baby girl loves to people watch (not a big surprise considering both her parents do it). The only problem is that she only watches the boys. We took her to Ft Wayne this weekend for some stimulation at the Glenbrook Mall and sat with her so she could take in the surroundings and let those synapses start flying. They did fly of course every time a boy, or should I say a man, walked by us. Every time one of these gentlemen walked by, she would follow them with her eyes from one side to the other. Then a girl would pass by and nothing -- complete disinterest. Now, we also noticed that Isabella has an age-range of the guys that she likes to gander: those aged approximately 20-85ish. She doesn't bother with the young ones at all. At one time I had to dispense my motherly advice and told her she had to narrow down her tastes. After all, I can completely understand her need to look at guys in the mall; but you have to be a little selective in your approach. Jason and I always joke that she is going to be boy crazy, because both he and I were enamored by the opposite sex at a very young age --Jason's preschool picture shows him sitting half off his chair so that he is sitting half on the chair of his, then, crush--however, I didn't expect it to start at four months :-P. We won't even get started on her propensity for shoes but that my friend is a tale for another day.....
In all seriousness, today our Isabella Hannah is four-months-old. She goes to the doctor Wednesday and we are praying that she is safer in the weight department: at her last weigh-in she was in the 7th percentile, which was up from the 2nd percentile just a week prior. She continues to surprise us every day as she learns to do new things. She is constantly working on developing her language skills -- this week it is shrieking (oh the joy that bestills my heart!). She rolls everywhere and continues to make progress with crawling. She still loves to play Kick Momma in the Face every day. We continue to be so thankful for her -- even if we are standing at a precipice looking down into the canyon that is known as our daughter's boy craziness. We can handle it -- I'm positive! (Gulp).
